Delete your account
You can permanently delete your LOXIM account and every piece of personal data tied to it. This page explains both the in-app self-service flow and the email-based fallback for cases where you can’t open the app.
1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)
The fastest way is the built-in flow:
- 1Open Loxim on your phone and tap your profile picture in the top-left of the home screen.
- 2Tap Settings (the gear icon in the profile header).
- 3Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete Account.
- 4Confirm in the dialog. Your account is deleted immediately and you’re returned to the onboarding screen.
2. Can't access the app? Email us
If you uninstalled Loxim, lost access to the email tied to your account, or otherwise can’t reach the in-app flow, send a deletion request to:
Include the email address you used to sign up so we can find the right account. We aim to complete deletion requests within 7 days of receipt (and never more than the 30-day window required by GDPR Art. 17).
For verification we may reply asking you to confirm the request from the account’s email address. This is to prevent somebody else deleting your account without permission.
3. What gets deleted
On deletion, the following is removed from our systems:
- Account profile: email, name, profile picture, subscription status, and the link to your Apple / Google identity.
- Flight data: every log, roster entry, route, aircraft history, and passport / city / country statistic.
- Engagement state: streaks, milestones, push notification tokens, and preferences.
- Authentication: your sign-in session and stored authentication tokens.
All of the above is removed from our active databases within 30 days of the deletion request, in line with the retention promise in our Privacy Policy.
4. What may be retained
Some data has to be kept for limited periods to meet legal obligations or to keep our service running:
- Billing records: if you had a paid subscription, invoices and transaction metadata are retained for up to 10 years for tax / accounting compliance (German HGB / AO). These records reference your subscription only, not your flight data.
- Crash & analytics: any anonymised crash or analytics data already collected remains in our reporting pipeline for up to 24 months. It can no longer be linked back to you once your account is deleted.
- Support communications: emails you sent us are kept for up to 36 months after the conversation is resolved. You can ask us to delete those separately by replying to your original thread.
5. Cancel your subscription separately
LOXIM subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google directly — we do not handle the payment ourselves. Deleting your Loxim account does not cancel an ongoing subscription. To stop being billed:
- iPhone / iPad: open Manage Apple Subscriptions, tap Loxim, then Cancel Subscription.
- Android: open the Play Store subscriptions page, tap Loxim, then Cancel Subscription.
You can do this either before or after deleting your account. We don’t auto-cancel because Apple and Google don’t allow third-party apps to cancel store-managed subscriptions on the user’s behalf.
