Refund Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for LOXIM, operated by Johan Nzokam, Wiesloch, Germany. Where you bought your subscription decides who handles a refund, so this page is split by purchase channel. You can cancel at any time on every channel, and cancelling always keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

1. Where you bought matters

LOXIM is sold through three channels, and each has a different seller. The seller is the party that took your payment, so the seller is the party that can refund it.

Bought inSellerWho handles refunds
iPhone or iPad appAppleApple
Android appGoogleGoogle
loxim.app or app.loxim.appPaddle, on our behalfPaddle and LOXIM

2. Purchases made in the mobile app

Subscriptions bought inside the LOXIM app on iOS or Android are sold by Apple and Google, not by us. Your payment never passes through LOXIM, and we have no ability to issue, decline or reverse a refund for those purchases.

Apple and Google each set their own refund rules and their own time limits, and those rules apply to your purchase. Where they grant a refund, we accept it and the subscription ends accordingly. Where they decline one, we are unfortunately not able to overrule them.

How to ask Apple

Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find the LOXIM purchase and choose the option to request a refund. You can also use Settings on your device under your name, then Media and Purchases.

How to ask Google

Open the Google Play Store, go to Payments and subscriptions, then Budget and order history, find the LOXIM purchase and request a refund. Google also accepts requests at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

Cancelling

Cancelling a mobile subscription is done in the store, not in LOXIM. On iOS this is Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. On Android it is the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access in place until the end of the period you have paid for. A cancellation on its own is not a refund.

3. Purchases made on the web

Subscriptions bought on our website are handled by Paddle, who act as the seller and merchant of record. Paddle collects the payment, charges the correct tax for your country and issues your receipt.

There is no app store between us and you on this channel, and no store policy that grants a refund window. We do not offer discretionary refunds for web purchases. Before you buy, you can use LOXIM at no cost on the web for as long as you like, with your own flights and your own logbook, so you can decide whether it suits you before any money changes hands. That free tier is the trial.

Your statutory right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. Because LOXIM unlocks immediately when you pay, you are asked at checkout to agree to immediate access and to acknowledge that doing so ends that right of withdrawal once the service has been supplied. If you would prefer to keep the fourteen day right, do not agree to immediate access at checkout and contact us instead.

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law in the country you live in.

When we do refund

Two situations are billing errors rather than changes of mind, and we correct them without argument:

  • You were charged more than once for the same subscription, or charged after a cancellation had already taken effect.
  • You paid for a period during which LOXIM was unavailable through a fault on our side and we were unable to restore it.

Write to us and we will put it right. Paddle may also issue a refund at its own discretion under its buyer terms, independently of this policy.

Cancelling a web subscription

Cancel at any time from your account settings or from the link in any Paddle receipt. Your subscription stops renewing and your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that your account returns to the free tier and your flights and logbook stay exactly where they are.

4. Lifetime purchases

A lifetime purchase is a single payment rather than a subscription, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to renew. Bought in the app, it follows the Apple or Google refund rules in section 2. Bought on the web, it follows section 3.

Lifetime means for as long as LOXIM operates as a service. If we ever discontinue LOXIM entirely, we will say so with reasonable notice and give you a way to export your flight data.

5. Price changes and trials

If the price of a subscription changes, the new price applies from your next renewal and never retroactively. You are told in advance and can cancel before the renewal if you do not want to continue at the new price.

A free trial that converts into a paid subscription is a normal purchase at the moment it converts, and the rules above apply to it from that point. Cancelling before the trial ends means you are never charged.

6. Contact us

For anything on this page, including the billing errors in section 3, write to us through the contact page. Please include the email address on your LOXIM account and, where you have one, the receipt or order number. We aim to answer within a few working days.

For purchases made on the web you can also contact Paddle directly as the seller of record, using the details on your receipt.
